A person acting a drunken ass is never funny. Poker is a game with a sometimes dubious reputation. We don't need it to be sullied by irresponsible acts from its stars.
That being said, I didn't lose any respect for Scotty over the incident. Who knows what led him to drink himself stupid. In most situations he seems to be a well-meaning sort of guy, so I think that he suffered a momentary loss of self control.
Booze and the adrenalin high that comes from winning don't make for a good combination. I haven't lost respect for him, but if it becomes a pattern of behavior I will. I think that for whatever reason he felt the need to drink, behaved awfully and is probably filled with enough regret that he won't do it again in a hurry.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
