If you give respect to someone, do you feel that you deserve respect from them in return?

I think respect is earned over time. I think initially you're cordial to someone but after a while respect is earned to me through actions, intent, and attitude.

I "expect" that they would give me the time of day..........

They may not value me as I do them, but total disregard is both, disrespectful, and unprofessional.

You are never required to like me, but you are expected to adhere to my expertise.

It will all come to play in time............

I have to admit I often feel I do deserve respect if I give it, but I know that respect has to be earned so I'm usually quietly disappointed and wait until the other person shows it too.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
