We introduced the "Expiring Questions" tab when we switched to "one stage" voting. Now questions remain open for four days total. The asker has all four days to select "Best Answer" but, in the event that they do not choose, the answer with the most votes at the end of day four is automatically selected as best answer. So, when a question is about to close, we put it in the "Expiring questions" tab in order to make sure people have an opportunity to pick the best possible answers before the question closes.
Glad you like it, and hope you enjoy the new, streamlined process of one-stage voting!
I do remember your suggestion, Edward, and thought it was cool that it was implemented, too. I only remember seeing it added a couple of weeks ago, and am pretty sure there was some comment about it then. I have used it a lot - I still use the "spy-->reminders" method, too - and have found it to be helpful in preventing some Q's from going auto-NBA.
Unfortunately, it does not prevent auto-NBA's from happening - we still have dozens of good answers getting stomped and answerers losing tips and rev share. And, it certainly hasn't done anything to remedy the hundreds and thousands of answers that were unceremoniously auto-NBA'ed as a result of the way single-stage was implemented - those still need to be reopened for voting. (Remember, those were NEVER voted on!) I urge everyone to USE that "expiring questions" button!

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
