Didn't Obama emphatically tell us Obamacare "absolutely NOT a tax increase"?

Semantics. Call it what you like. I am among the 1 in 6 Americans (and growing) who can't get regular access to health care.

Middle-aged, self-employed, health insurance is simply beyond my reach. So my best bet is just to try to stay out of trouble until I reach the age of Medicare. When 2014 comes along I'll see if Obamacare has put health insurance in my reach.

If so, I'll have it for a while. OTHERWISE I will have to pay a tax/fine/penalty of 1% of my income, or less. The thing is, Obama has already cut my taxes by more than 1%.

So even then I would be money ahead. Let's review the last 30 years. Reagan and both Bushes raised MY taxes.

Clinton and Obama both cut MY taxes. If Obamacare puts health insurance within the reach of more Americans, I think it's well worth 1% of my income. Especially if it does so for me.

I'm not sure though. I'll let you know.

Yes roberts wrote his opinion that obamatax is indeed a tax. The individual mandate tax, the 3.8% home sale tax, the flexible spending account capped at $2500 instead of unlimited now, the health savings account penalty change from 10 to 20 %. The tax on medical devices and many more (total of 21).

A good fact article called obama 7 obamatax taxes is on breitbart's website. If roberts had done his ruling the correct way he would have sent the bill back to congress to be revoted on as a tax and not a penalty..

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
