Digital camera says memory card requires formating but I haven't copy out the picture inside the memory card?

Poppet! Said: 2 I'm not sure I fully understand your question, but I'm guessing that you camera is saying you need to format your memory card but you have photos on it that you haven't transferred to your computer? If so, the transfer is the first step.

If you can't do that for whatever reason, you will lose the photos, because when you format the card it wipes it clean and removes any photos that might be on it. Format the card in the camera, not through your computer. I've never had a camera tell me that my card requires formatting, so it makes me wonder if there is actually a problem with either the card or the camera?

You might try a new memory card and see if that will work.

Poppet! Said: 3 Why are you unable to transfer the photos? You don't know how, you don't have the right equipment to do so, or it won't let you?

4 Memory card corruption is not uncommon. It's why you should always download pics immediately and reformat the card in the camera after each shoot. The files on your memory card may be recoverable with special software.

I wonder if it depends on the camera and memory card. I use a Canon and the card has only been formatted twice - once when I got it and once since then. I've shot about 5000 pictures.

I just take pictures, download and delete - never format, and haven't had an issue yet.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
