More than once, even though I knew better, I would attempt at having a normal Christmas Visit with my family. Wised up at some point and stayed away for over 40 years. Returned for a brief visit last year.
Some things just never change. Roasted Goose can be wonderful if done properly, lots of hard work to do at home, best to order at a Hotel Dinning Room.
No, nothing that much fun stands out,.. but I do remember back in South Dakota we had lutefisk and lefse and mashed potatoes with lots of butter on Christmas. A Norwegian dish. We were a quiet reserved bunch except for me.As a child I was always kidding around and trying to get them to lighten up, only to get in trouble.
I'm still like that at 62...haha.
From: americanfood.about.com/od/meatsan… 1. Dressing/stuffing. 2.
Cooked apples. 3. Yams or sweet potatoes.
My family loves to cook my goose for some reason but it is all in fun. As far as Christmas dinner goes, I've never had a goose ever, nor a duck. We have turkey for Thanksgiving and ham for Christmas.
Nope. I always stayed home and minded my business on Christmas. Never did have roasted goose.
The closest I had was Duck under glass once. DeeJay.
If there was any white meat on a goose I would eat them. I do like to shoot them for others though.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
