Do Catholics take note of their own writings that the first Christians knew nothing of a "Trinity"?

Also interesting reading is the scriptures those who believe the trinity and in hell have provided. Oops, they can't since it's an invention of their church not found in scripture.

1 John 5:7 says, 'For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one.' This verse tells us that the one Supreme God has brought us salvation by conceiving and bringing forth the Man Jesus, who is described as the Word made flesh (John 1:14). This means that all of God's thoughts and plans were incarnated so that He could make Himself known to man and bring us salvation. Once this salvation had been achieved through the death, burial, and resurrection of this Man, God then removed His flesh from the earth and brought His salvation to us by the operation of His Spirit.

The Word and the Spirit are not separate divine persons from the Father and some say. They are ministries of the Father bringing salvation to man. The whole point of 1 John 5:7 is to affirm the Oneness of God, not to suggest that God is three persons.

P.S. As others have already stated, there is evidence that 5:7 was not in the original manuscripts.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
