Do I have the legal right to shoot the next person that walks in my door asking me for a beer or money?

Salam You do not give money to a person who is asking for money to buy beer because beer is haram.

A Muslim cannot be seen to provide for the frivolous. This is spoken of in the Qur'an. I cannot recall the specific verse but I am aware of what is written.

I am not completely dismissive of anyone who has belief. Insha' Allah your good deeds will outweigh the sin on the Day of Judgment.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
