If I were your manager, I'd be questioning your motives, wondering what you're doing wrong that you feel the need to come suck up to me at the end of every shift. I'd question your confidence and competency. You are mistaken if you think your manager is under any obligation to compliment you day after day.
The reward for doing a good job is having a job to keep coming to. While it's nice to be appreciated, the need to be thanked for doing what you are paid to do is not a requirement.
I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
