Do most Americans understand the meaning of the name of the proposed WTC mosque?

They should select a different site. It's like rubbing feces in the faces of the families of the murdered. It appears to be blatant insult.

Do you recall the video clips after 9/11 showing American Muslims dancing with joy in the streets? They had a celebration.

I believe they are building the mosque there because they had already owned rights to that land. It is not ON ground zero; it's blocks away. It's just NEAR ground zero.

They probably can't just 'pick another place' because land in NYC is ****ing expensive and they had already owned this land. They can do whatever they want with it. It's currently a slum building, so improving it for ANY purpose is good.

Muslims are, if they follow the Koran and not some despot, very peaceful themselves.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
