Some do, some don't. But veterinarians are in their profession more so for the passion than money.

My experience with veterinarians throughout my 56 year old life, always including cats and/or dogs, is that the vast majority, if not all, have chosen that field because they are compassionate. The ones I have gone to have not been super wealthy but I would guess very comfortable financially. There are a few here and there that eventually turn it into a "big business" - there's one in Hampton Virginia that has "doggy day care" and you can come on their birthday and they'll throw a birthday party for your dog.

But the ones that make a lot of money (which is the minority IMHO) doesn't preclude them from caring a lot about the animals.

They try to earn enough to pay for bills/wages/rent etc... They could make it 1/10 as much. Each Vet is told to do their share in supporting the place. Just say no to what tests you don't want them to do.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
