Why do a lot of people think their sleep dreams,have something to do with reality in their every day life?

We've spent the last 40 years (or so) training our children in self-esteem, and the result is that they think everything about them is important. Thus, while I grew up knowing my dreams were something my mind did while I was asleep, they grew up believing that these things could be important. And they (eventually) stumbled on some book or two telling them that ("Dream Dictionary," etc.) Given the choice, we all know which these young 'uns will choose to believe.

Thus, we get the questions because they WANT the dreams to mean something, whether or not the dreams mean anything at all (more than that's what you were thinking about yesterday).

No one really knows all the facts about dreams but a few times in my life something had happened in my life and instantly I remember I had dreamed about that happening. I remember the few times that happened I was puzzled and a little bit scared. Haven't you even done something or went somewhere that you had never been before and it felt like you had been there before or done the same exact thing before?

I've had a few interesting dreams I couldn't explain away, dreamed of a white car on fire, the next day, while I was at a gas station, people started running, I turned and a WHITE car had just pulled in, and the engine was spewing flames. I had a very strange dream about me and my twin brother, few days later I was at moms, I told her my dream, she turned white and sat down,she said my brother had called her the day before with the exact same dream. Same dream on the same night.

Can you explain that away? .

Your dreams can inform you, much the same way a good workout or a walk in nature can. It's a sort of meditative state, one where the constant chatter of monkey mind is stilled. Your dreams won't create reality in and of themselves, but examining your dreams can lead to awareness that can transform you, and that transformation will very much shape reality.

Try it, and see for yourself. BTW, like any good meditation exercise, it's not instantaneous or effortless - which is one reason most of us don't indulge...

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
