Do sealed habitats with air holes cause hermit crabs to disappear?

I am pretty sure hermit crabs are not capable of disapearing or becoming invisible, however, according to hermit-crabs.com they are scavengers and will therefore eat their own kind, when this happens, one drives the other from its shell, then proceeds to rip it apart and eat it alive, so perhaps this is what happend.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
