Do the Christians who oppose Big Bang Theory do so solely because it conflicts with a 6000 year old earth?

Looking into the Bible however, we can get the real answer. For instance, only the 7th day has no ending. Over 4,000 years later, Paul indicated at Hebrews 4:1-11, that God's rest day towards earth was still going on.

He referred to Psalms 95:7, 8, 11 and to Genesis 2:2 and urged: “Let us therefore do our utmost to enter into that rest. The Thousand Year Reign of Jesus Christ, who is Scripturally identified as “Lord of the sabbath” (Mt 12:8), is evidently part of the great sabbath, God’s rest day. (Re 20:1-6) Today the end of his reign is in the future.

This shows the length on that 7th day goes on for at least 7,000 years. Assuming each of the Creative Days are equal in length as are most calenders are, then all 7 would each be 7,000 years. We are not told if or how long a period existed between each day.

The 7th Creative Day is known as God's Sabbath or day of rest. God does not require rest. This would mean the other definition of day of rest would apply.

That of letting Earth's creation rest while going on to other projects. Whether there was addition time between those days--we have no idea. The Bible does not speak about this.

The main thing we do know is the fact of the physical universe was already in existence before any Creative Days began. This would account for those stating rocks are millions of years old. Quite possibly they are as it takes several thousands of years for planet size molten plasma to cool down enough for a planet to have life on it.

The word 'create' was not even used after verse 1 except when life was created on whales and the image of Yahweh created on Adam and Eve. In verse 1, the whole creation process was finished in the beginning. Then, we have the rebellion of Satan and his angels which made the whole creation without form and void.

The rest of the chapters, the word 'And God said..' was used to indicate that the rest was the reorganization of what became without form, like after a tornado, the material is already there and there was a power to remove the dents on the house, the broken glasses into its original form. Since the sun was not ignited yet, this indicates another light source after the war in heaven which makes the counting of days a different cycle than our regular 24 hour period using our sun. The 6th day started with the birth of Adam on July 27th, 4004 BC, which was Friday, and the 7th day of rest, July 28th, 4004 BC was actually a Saturday according to Mayan calendar.

From the fall of Adam on November 14, 3987 BC to September 23, 2015 at the dedication of the Temple during a bloody full eclipse of the moon would be exactly 6000 years. That was the time power was given to Satan by Adam minus the 1 year ministry of Christ Jesus because Jesus was in charge. 1BC to 1 AD is just one year.

3987+ 2015 = 6002 minus 1 year Jesus ministry. It would also mark the end of the 7 year reign of the antichrist which started on November 2008.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
