AFAIK, Sanders has said that he's not going to do this, that he's not going to run a third party candidacy if he loses the Democratic Party's race for the nomination. As a democratic socialist who likes Sanders, and who really doesn't like the Democratic Party except as a "lesser evil," I think Sanders needs to stick by his promises, all of his promises, including this one. IMO, Sanders' willingness to consider "socialist" and maybe even "Marxist" ideas is one of his big strengths as a candidate, but it's not his only strength.
Related to his willingness to look at reality through "radical" eyes are his political courage and his general honesty. If he demonstrates by his actions that he can't be trusted to keep his promises, I think he loses a huge part of his appeal to American voters. This isn't to say anything either in favor or the Socialist Party USA or against it, although I think I would prefer the Greens.
But regardless of whether the SP or the Greens are good or bad, I say that Sanders needs to stick with whatever he has promised he'll do. Whether he COULD run as an SP candidate therefore is irrelevant, because I don't think he SHOULD. -- democratic socialist / "only the truth is revolutionary" -- Antonio Gramsci.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
