I am a strong believer in Murphy's Law ... It's a 100% guarantee with me. If I had any luck, I'd have no luck at all (or something like that!). Asked by Karen7750 7 months ago Similar questions: Murphy's Law Society.
I keep on trying to answer your question, but something keeps on going wrong, and I am unable to.
LOL! It took me a minute to get that one, but I LOVE IT! Karen7750 7 months ago .
I think it was one of my "duh" moments! I honestly almost fell for it! Yep, that's Murphy's Law (to me).

The Peter Principle: "in any organization, an individual will rise to his personal level of incompetence and stay there. "I definitely believe in the Peter Principle, having worked in large corporations all my life and wondered how the blazes my supervisors ever got their jobs. I don't know if I believe that they "stay there."
Sometimes we get lucky and they are fired, only after doing a great deal of harm.
I toy with it, but don't truly believe in it. I do, however, believe in the power of the mind. If we believe something strongly enough, we stand a good chance of co-creating it in our lives.
Thoughts have creative power. They're fairly harmless until we begin believing them in our hearts. When that happens, and we add emotional conviction to them, they are empowered to create.
Thoughts then begin to establish themselves in our reality. If you are a strong believer in Murphy's Law, you are assuring it will continue to manifest for you. You might want to start reading up on how the mind works.
Its fascinating.
It's not that I believe in it like a faith or something... I guess you could say it's more of a 'private joke' type of thing. Whenever something goes wrong, in a strange/funny kind've way, I just have to chuckle and laugh at the situation and I think to myself, "yep, Murphy's Law strikes again. " (LOL) Karen7750 7 months ago .
Yes, I agree that it's random, but it just happens so darn often to me! LOL Karen7750 7 months ago .
Sure - but not all the time for everyone. Prior planning sure does help.
Yes....I so believe in this that I almost always stop and think before I do what it is that I plan to do. I guess another way to say it would be that I try to think of what would happen if I do - or don't do - whatever it is. An example: "Should I take the umbrella with me or not?"
I know darn well that if I don't take the umbrella it's going to rain! It's hard to explain in words. I hope you can understand what I'm trying to say.
If not, well that's okay too. Karen7750 7 months ago .
Murphy was an optimist. Corollary: "things, left to their own devices, generally go from bad to worse"the Peter Principle: "in any organization, an individual will rise to his personal level of incompetence and stay there. "Cole's Law: Finely shredded cabbage.
Hmmmmmm... guess I don't get around much. I never heard of the Peter Principle before, but it sure makes sense to me! (I haven't worked in an office setting for 28 years, but the experience I did had back then tells me the PP is in deed fact!)I also like Cole's Law.
-- You forgot one word ... "head"... I mean Cole's Law: Finely shredded cabbage-head. (Referencing the PP theory that you noted.) Thanks for the laugh. Karen7750 7 months ago .
The Peter Principle is taught in business management classes.
No, I believe in Jesus Christ, and He says that this world is cursed because of our disobedience: all things we want to do will require work, exactly as God told Adam way back when. Captain Murphy of the U.S. Air Force merely re-worded the law of entropy, which could also be called the law of consequences.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
