I believe the passover to be truly historical and a wonderful example of how powerful God is. There was no comparison with each plague purposefully destroying a false god that the Egyptians worshipped. Proof has been found among Egyptian papyrus scrolls.
Interestingly, the reason why it does not appear that the Egyptians had record of the plagues and the departure of the Hebrews is because of the method of time keeping that they used. It was once thought that eclipses of the sun and moon validated the Egyptian calendar by lining up with other dates. However, science has discovered the method to be wrong and that the dates and the eclipse' never matched.
After discovering and correcting the error in timekeeping the dates are found to match up with the Bible concerning the records that are available. The Assyrian timeline verifies the record of the OT; and, once the Egyptian's time system was corrected it verified the other two independent sources. An Egyptian scroll, that can be viewed at the Lendin Museum in Holland, speaks of bloody water that can't be drank, and plagues stalking the land.
This was a great question thanks for posting it. I hope this information will spark interest in others who read it.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
