With only one grandchild we only do a little egg hunt here but our Churches both have egg hunts. My wife and I go to different churches. She is a Baptist and I am Catholic but both churches have egg hunts, hers on Holy Saturday and mine after Mass on Easter.
At both churches there is a mixture of eggs with some bringing plastic and some real. Both churches add in some plastic eggs with little prizes inside and at both churches there is at least one egg with money in it. Some of the eggs have a little toy and others have candy and at my Church there is the occasional obligatory Holy Medal or Crucifix.
