My answer to both of these questions is yes! Anything can be art; if turning a urinal upside-down is art, then body art is definitely art as well. I think that body art requires a certain level of skill and natural talent, just like other art forms.
I can only speak to tattoos and for that matter henna since I have two tattoos myself and yes they are a pure form of art. I chose to have my body decorated with the images I have on me because they hold a deep meaning for me--it doesn't matter what others think of them or what they mean to anyone else, they inspire me, bring me hope, and remind me of who I am as an individual. To me, that's the purest form art can reach.
For the case of henna, I agree this is pure art. I see a woman who using the henna looks more pretty :)several ethnic in the world make a tattoo to indicates their professions or social strata. Check:hubpages.com/hub/Mentawai-Tattoos-The-World.
100% (my answer may be "too short" but there's not much more to say - I guess that's plain to see. ).
I think those are all forms of pure art to the person that's making or enjoying them. Art is a perception based experience. If you think whatever you're indulging in is considered the purest form of art, then it is.
Yesssssssssssssss I would I luv all of them.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
