Do you ever browse through old questions and discussions here in askville?

I was looking at a fave's profile (wouldn't you like to know) and it took me back to some postings from earlier in the year...when life was so tender that dreams were kept beside your pillow. Anyway, are there questions you'd like to revisit or people you miss or answers that really helped you? Let's take a moment to look back at the askville days of yore.

I'll start with ... This discussion. Your question made me think. I’ve had so much fun here on Askville in discusions, but I’ve let some of the go by the wayside. As far as people that I miss, there’s Spankbox, she was a ot of fun to have around here, but she hasn’t been back for months now.

Her creative writing skills and imagination were right up there with Mamasu, What_a_card and Marissa. There are other people that I miss, but they pop in from time to time Now that you’ve got me thinking, let me go refresh my skull question. Marissa spent hours on her answer there, and it was fantastic!

I looked way back in my profile, but ther are only a select few things that I'd like to mention here. I think making a huge list of everything would dilute the value of the other special things I've listed. I'll come back to the discussion here and ther to post the names of some of thosee people that I miss.

Well, I've only been here since April But awhile ago, I started putting old questions on my watchlist so that I could review them at my leisure. Some, I keep for reference, others I keep for fun, and still others I keep on the list for when the question inevitably gets asked again. Since I’ve only been here 3 months, I haven’t really noticed anyone leaving.

I think several regulars left shortly before I arrived, as I remember people occasionally mentioning a name here and there. When I'm going through a patch of days where it's hard to find questions to answer, I'll browse completed questions in the topics that interest me to see what I missed over the last few months.

Absolutely! I'm really interested in getting a sense of the community, and anyway i'm a knowledge junkie. "nollijJunkie" .

1 JoeCsekoBrainBuilder, regarding your answer "I'll start with":Thanks for getting in the spirit Joe! Also, my last question got NO answers...it was pretty specific...so it's nice to have some answerers around! .

2 Alley, thank you for forwarding this. I'm sorry I missed all of the spots. What a great question, and yes, I love to revisit.

I'll post more when the answers are in, maybe with some links, but I do think it's fun to pop back on a discussion board and sometimes try to bring it back to life. : ) .

With all the political discussions we have on Askville. Can we agree that with recent events.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
