In some ways, yes It's pretty rare, I'll grant you. But there have been one or two heated debates where I thought I KNEW I was right going into it. And although I haven't ever been completely converted, I have ended up questioning my own reasoning in the end.

Take the prostitution debates. There have been a couple of heated posts about whether or not prostitution is moral or not. I thought I had some pretty concise arguments why there could never be a situation in which it would not be immoral to visit a prostitute.

And then some folks came along who argued that prostitution is perfectly moral under most circumstances. And they laid out some well thought out arguments. Since it's consentual is it really hurting the female?

Is this sometimes the only way for some women to make money and make it in this world? Do men really sometimes need a "release"? And would a lack of prostitution lead to more rape?

In the end I stand by my original belief. I still think it's wrong. But I was AMAZED by how easily some of their arguments punctured holes in my self-righteous armor.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
