Do you "fear" parenting? Are you anxious as a parent? Are you reluctant to become a parent? I read this article?

I read this article.... and it explains why parenting has such negative rap now a days. If you're thinking of becoming a parent or if you're a new parent read this and put your mind at ease. livescience.com/history/080627-hn-parent... With my first child yes I feared it. But I agree that you learn more from yourself and your child than you can learn from anyone else and that includes the doctors. Each and every baby in the world are different they are not made the same.

I have three kids, 2 girls and 1 boy and each one is different and I have learned that you have to listen to them as well as them listening to you and if you listen you just might learn something. And they change every day just because they like something one day does not mean they will like it the next. I would say that yea I fear parenting and can be anxious, but I am still learning and I would rather learn from me and them who else would know better..

1 That's a great article and all too true. I'm a parent of twin 3-year olds and am quite convinced that I'm "doing it all wrong" most of the time. My only salvation to that is how much family, friends and strangers tell me how wonderful they are.

Family being far away these days can be a good and a bad thing. I'd LOVE to get a reprieve from them during the day sometimes, but don't have family near and can't really see paying for daycare from someone I don't know for a few hours.

2 Parenting gets a bad rap nowadays because it is more difficult than people want it to be, within the framework of their desires to be "responsible" to the children, to the community and to the world...This may come from the fact that there are a lot of people out there in the parenting business (as alleged 'parents') who had no business getting into it in the first place, and now they are stuck, but still aren't taking any steps to improve their skills..

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
