Well, if you think about the term "conundrum," it alludes to the idea of a moral or ethical conflict. It wouldn't be a "conundrum" otherwise. It's no wonder many of the questions on "ConundrumLand" seem belief or religiously based.
I have no problem with this at all because I have a different spiritual belief system than most people. In fact, I don't even call myself religious. I feel religion is man-made and the ideas portrayed by most religions are skewed through translation and the various versions of the Bible (26 versions to be exact) some people have obviously written by the guidelines of their own personal ideals.
I'm not knocking the Bible. I love the Bible, but only as a loose guide to life. I don't take everything in it to be 100%, out-and-out true and real.
Through this way of looking at religion, I have found myself freed from the guilt and, for lack of a better term, confusion that goes along with religion and it's various contradictions. I know in my heart that as long as I am truly and honestly giving 100% at living my life in a way that ensures I am not causing pain or negativity in others and in fact spreading joy and happiness, I feel I am doing the best I can to live my life according to what God and Jesus originally intended and, I must say, I sleep very well at night. This is why I enjoy answering conundrums.
I feel my fresh way of looking at things (in a spiritual way rather than in a religious way) really makes people think and goes far in helping overcome the problems they list here. We have so many man-made "morals" beat into our heads from such a young age and it's really a shame because usually these "morals" do more harm to the person than good and could easily be replaced with a good, old, logical, heart-to-heart talk, not to mention I would bet my bottom dollar God has quite a different idea of what he expects or intends for us than what most religions portray. My insight may not always be welcome, but it's okay because I'm doing God's work (the work He originally intended) and that's good enough for me.It's up to the original asker to take what they want from my logic and do with it as they please.
I think there are a lot of questions that are based on more personal topics. I see many questions about scenarios that deal with parenting, family, religion and relationships. It seems personal opinion are the basis for a lot of questions unless you simply have vast knowledge in psychology, parenting, etc.I have an education that is rooted in psychological studies and so, I quite like these types of questions.
Given that I'm fascinated with sociology, parenting, psychology and religion I'm truly enjoying answering these questions.
To be true, there are not too many of them. In fact, tonight I found only 9 of them. But even if they were there in plenty, that would not be a bad thing.
Rather, it shows that people are really thinking on these issues (Which is a good Thanks.
I managed to get my old mother to take a look at it who is a good religious person (as opposed to an extremist) but still blames science for all the over-population problems. But I do think, that if YOU want to influence those who are (right now anyway) influencing society a bit too much, you have to bridge that gap between Spiritualism and Materialism in an attempt to latch onto whatever whisps of imagination they have (God, Jesus, Crosses and all the other iconic nonsense they swear their LIVES by) and try and draw it into real-world morality. But not into a "this is the mess we are in" sort of conclusion, but into something that lets people see that if they stopped playing stoned follow-my-leader and thought DEEPLY about things more, they can be happier and achieve a happy future.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
