Do You Go To Hell For Attempted Suicide?

You cannot get your information from a movie. And people who commit suicide DO NOT go to hell just because they kill themselves. THE BIBLE DOES NOT SAY THAT!

The ONLY thing that will send a person to he'll is rejecting Jesus Christ as your Savior!

Suicide or attempted suicide does not send you to hell. Rejecting Jesus Christ as your Savior is what sends you to hell. If you ask Jesus to forgive you of your sins and to save your soul from hell, then He will do just that.

Once you have sincerely asked nothing you do can send you to hell. Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

I am well read in the bible. And there is no place at all that says you will go to hell if you commit suicide. There is one utube video where this woman says she went to hell because she committed suicide.

I doubt it. I believe she went like the majority of Christians will go to hell because they will not apply the word of God to their lives. Jesus said, " Many will seek the kingdom of God BUT FEW will enter."

Then there is a utube video that said this woman went to hell and Jesus told her to paint what she saw and it showed people she said committed suicide. But were they true christians? In my own mind I believe if someone is one of the Few real christians and they can't take it anymore due to whatever they will go to heaven.

People suffer from a lot of things that can be overwhelming such as losing a spouse, becoming an invalid , extremely ill, or like I feel sometimes is that I just want to go to heaven now. I hate this evil world and all the evil in it. I want to go where I am loved. It is just walking through a door.

Now people can want to commit suicide because of mental problems or reaction to medications or drugs etc. Some people just need to change major things in their lives such as jobs, relationships etc. They see that as the only way out when in fact there are many options. People do not see their options thus counseling is advised before you clock out. Be right with Jesus at all costs as you never know when he will come or some idiot texting will run you over....

You should not belive movies. But a person repeatedly attempting suicide is hardly in fit mental health But a person who is rational yet chooses the "easy way out" deserves hell, the coward.

First of all HELL is nothing more than the grave...there is destruction by fire....but there is NO eternal Torturing Fire called hell. The ONLY reason one does not receive Eternal Life is not Following Jesus of Nazareth. In order to not Follow Jesus one must be able to choose NOT to follow ...(Clear thinking mind) Being one who has attempted suicide I can tell you that people who do so DO NOT HAVE A CLEAR THINKING MIND and is therefore incapable at the time of knowing right from wrong and is therefore at that time like an infant who does not know right from wrong and CANNOT choose... This is why it is ridicules to baptize an infant, a young child or mentally incapable person NONE OF THEM ARE ABLE TO MAKE A CHOICE.

Anyone who is still alive and in a stable mind can still choose to repent and serve the Lord thus insuring they will receive eternal life....to say otherwise is idiotic, and uneducated. But most of all it is UN-BIBLICAL. And for those who do succeed in committing suicide some will not receive eternal life and some will...those who chose to blow their mind on drugs and alcohol probably will not...those who have a mental illness probably will....but in these cases it is up to God which do and which don't.

Rebel against foolishness. Hell is want to but can't.

You can feel bad,if it makes you feel better. And you only go to purgatory.

The logic is that if you commit suicide you can't repent because you are dead. Not a problem for attempted suicide.

This depends on how one wishes to interpret their religious text. Every aspect of your 'question'. Suicide has no explicit condemnation against it and the few times it does appear are no less than apathetic. So "people who commit suicide" DO NOT necessarily "go to hell".

From various verses condemning thoughts as well as actions ("If you look at a woman with lust, you have committed adultery" and such) people will often presuppose thinking about suicide is just as bad as suicide itself. But this presupposition is not necessarily acceptable. So in short there is no clear answer. It is, as with every religiously-based moral concept, a matter of perspective.

The reason that people who committ suicide may go to the Biblical Hell (Sheol, or Hades) is because the person, upon killing himself, is no longer alive to ask for forgiveness. But in some cases of extreme mental illness, it IS possible that God may forgive the person, and that the person may receive a resurrection upon the Paradise earth, after Armageddon has taken place. But there is no hell fire, and no suffering for anyone after death.

Ecclesiastes 9:5,10 is an important Scripture which sheds light on this subject.

There is no hell, but if there was would an all loving god be so cruel to torture someone who obviously had mental problems. *Sorry but if you think suicide is an easy way out, you are incredibly stupid.

If you attempt to suicide but don't then you gain a sin.. so you have to ask for forgivness. But you don't go to hell just because you thought about it. However you do go to hell if you suicide cuz you took something was giving to you to keep.

If you repent for it then you don't. And besides, it's just a movie xD.

Well I don't believe that hell exists, but it doesn't make sense that if you repent about trying to kill yourself, you obviously didn't finish the job, why would you have to go to hell. In the christian bible it says that all sins are the same so in this case trying to kill yourself is as bad as lying to your mom about not doing your homework. This hypothetical person you are curious about going to hell would have the same chance as anyone else to repent before they actually die.

Like I said though, I don't believe hell exists. I really think that you are wasting your time thinking about this.

In Britain if you attempt suicide and fail they hang you. Don't believe what Christianity tells you.

Most people who commit or attempt to commit suicide are already in hell and are probably trying to get away from it.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
