I have wrote a diary since I was a child, I always found it hard talking to people about my feelings, yet when I put pen to paper the words would just flow. I agree it is very theraputic.
Yes I do. A diary helps me to think, explore new possiblities, and to be free within myself without keeping me bottled up with my worries. I keep several different types of diaries.
There is my personal one. With this one, I have the freedom to tell myself how I felt that day, such as what made me happy, sad, angry, or I can write that letter to someone who made me made that day, and never send it. I have a Disney one.
This is a trip diary, that I am currently keeping as well. In it, are travel plans to the Mouse's House in Florida. I am going to stop right there, because you just gave me an idea for a new hub.Thanks.
It's been a while since I've regularly kept a journal, but I've found it very helpful in the times when I have. I think journal (or diary) writing can be a good way of keeping track of lessons you've learned.
When you look back at old journals, you sometimes see you've come quite a ways, but you sometimes also can be impressed by flashes of insight you once had, but have forgotten.
Yes. I heard Anthony Robbins say that if your live is worth living, it is worth recording. I have kept a journal ever since.
I have always written , everything i'm feeling, anywhere and everywhere I can. I'm not the most organized person so I kept loosing my diaries, but that didn't stop me from writing . I find that keeping diaries, journals, or whatever form of documented personal data is very helpfull to me, I can't bear to tell the truth to other people about how i'm feeling sometimes, and just writing it down makes it real enough for me so that I have to confront whatever is bothering me...telling the truth to yourself is sometimes harder than telling anyone else, but I guess it can also be a way of keeping sanity at bay and leaving the good bits to enjoy with everyone else!
My journals are my silent friends, and I can honestly tell you that I could not exist without them.
I have maintained a diary since I was 12. Has it helped me? I don't really know.
I am not a very complicated person. I don't think I have all the layers that can qualify my saying that I get to know myself more through my diaries or I relieve my stress in it. What I can say is that it is so much fun to read my own diary of some years ago.
I sometimes can not believe that I could have written some of the things that I did write in it.
Yes, I believe that writing a diary is therapeutic just like gardening or photography. Sometimes it is hard for me to talk when I am emotional. I find that writing things down has a lot of advantage.
You can write down your feelings and not to worry about telling others and they would not keep it confidential. You can edit it. It can be a document sometimes for court. It is very beneficial!
I don't have a habit of writing one but I know for those who does that, it is a very good emotional relief.
Yeah, I do. It helped me knowing me, what I want what I've done in the past and to make new dreams for my upcoming future.
Diaries, or Journals as I call them, have been an invaluable source of perspective for me, I have always found that as the years progress and I look back on all the past things I have written I learn how I have grown and matured, and also how I was able (or unable) to handle certain circumstances. Sometimes I cant get a handle on my emotions, and a diary has always helped me to make sense of my own self so much more than talking about it. Cheers!
I used to keep a diary. It helped me to relax. By writing down my thoughts, I was able to get emotions out of my system.
Also, writing a diary reminded me how productive my life was.
I wrote in a kind of JOURNAL book when I was a boy. Boys don't have "diaries" but it's OK to have a kind of JOURNAL.
I wrote things I thought about... not FEELINGS. I think it was very helpfull to me, and would be of benefit to frustrated people of any age.
I've started a diary now on hub and I thinks its helped me .. I'm tired of writing in a book but not knowing what it has to say.. so I thought I would blog it .. and see what other people had to say ..
YES! Having diary it helps me a lot and has significant to me. I can remember about what I have done this day.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
