I bought my mom on for Christmas and she LOVES, LOVES, LOVES it! Now, she and my dad aren't much for technology, but this was a huge hit. It may have helped they have 5 grandchildren who live out of town and they get to see them constantly now.

She carries it around the house with her to watch it while cooking dinner, paying bills, watching TV, to her bedroom (yes, I worry about her sometimes too.....). The only problem is that they keep asking for more and more newer pictures. My digital camera can't keep up with their need for more grandkid fix.

I actually bought theirs on Amazon. It was a Phillips and was very highly rated. I will attach it below.In short, I don't think you can miss with this as a gift Poppet.

Over the last few months, one of my sisters has been collecting pictures from all of the family members (including ones from my Mom that date back to when she was child) to scan onto CD. When it was decided we'd get her a digital picture frame, we used those pictures.So we spent a lot of time on her birthday just watching the pictures cycle from the 1940s to 2006 and reminiscing about friends and family over the years.

I got one for my mom last year. She just loved it but it broke after about 6 months - wouldn't work anymore. She enjoyed it while she had it though.

Maybe I just got a lemon. She is wild for pictures of great grandchildren and flower closeups. Get the biggest screen size if her eyesight isn't very good, by the way..

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
