Yes, both. Over a year. No.
I am 25, I make $20K a year. My IRA has $100 in it, slow going. My 401K has a couple more dollars in it.My savings currently has just over $4K in it, though I will be paying school loans, so all that money will dissapear soon :( today maybe.
I kind of like having a little money, so maybe I'll just keep it in there for another day. :) I really don't know how I will ever save up money, as I still have school loans, and eventually my husband and I want to buy a house. That's 30 years of spending, instead of saving.
:( So, I am not even close to being on par. The scary thing is there really isn't much of this thing called deflation. It's usually only inflation. As you grow older you will need more resources and aide.
So what you are saving now, really doesn't reflect future spending. My tentative plan is to get out of school, hopefully in the next two years, and make a TON of money. :) Really the only way to save is to spend a lot less than what you are spending. Currently I am only making a little bit more than what I am spending, so I figure, once I make a lot more than what I spend, even if that means I start saving at 27, instead of 25 I'm going to do it!

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
