Do you have to change the oil in a motorized go cart?

Yes. Since most small engine such as ones found in lawnmowers, blowers, small go carts etc.. have no oil filters - oil changes are of utmost importance Also be sure you have a clean air filter at all times. Whatever gets through the air filter ends up in the engine.

It dose call for 30wt non-detergent oil. Its easy to find at canadian tire. $2.50 per liter.

By the way my cart is electric. I just could not bring myself to use the cheapest oil there is. Thats why I started calling around to see what the dealers are using, 2 of them told me gear oil?

After the oil change it did seem to be a bit more quiet. No performance differance. All I am looking for is the maximum protection of the rear end.

By the way great info about the diff between the oils. Last edited by jus_crzn; 08-19-2007 at 01:50 PM..

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
