There are so many scams connected with the internet where to start. Scammers use the email to work the % game ie send out 1 million emails and someone is going to get hooked. Email scams vary.

I have seen emails that have actually been sent to me made to look like they come from the bank claiming that due to a recent majour update to there system you are required to complete the form and send back by return of email... the form looking official asks for account numbers passwords, address,s....There is also a similar version for paypal going around was this how yours went Lovelymama. Then there are all those African email that come into your mail box about how there is some money tied up in a bank $millions. And how they are looking for a partner to transfer this money to Europe.

You have to pay them 20% for there troubles and you get to keep the rest. Sounds like a win win.. But inorder to recieve this money you have to give your bank account details. Once they have this information plus some other general information about you they can use this in various ways.

I have also just had an email sent to me that tells me that I have just won a gauranteed prize in a $1,000,000 draw and to claim my prize all I have to do is phone the number in the email. Well I traced this number back to a premium telephone number so there could well be a prize waiting for me, maybe a pen, but it will probably cost me $10 or more in phone calls. At the end of the day if something is to good to be true then in 99% case is probably is and regarding people who look to take information from you then just do not give it.

Or even better if you think that it is genuine simply ask for name and contact the official company directly to check out the story.

I'm actually in the process of researching and filing reports with the FBI about one of the largest internet scams currently operating. This scam is operating all over the world right now. It involves at least 3 main men and over 2000 websites and a lot of fake information.

You can read my hubs or send me a message and I can give you more details. I had over $300 stolen from my bank account and I didn't even involve myself with these people. They bought my info from someone that they partner with that thinks they are okay.

The bank gave back what I filed disputes on and I harrassed the others until I got my money back. Good Luck.

In 2002 my husband and I became victims of a counterfeit cashier's check scam while selling a car online. The main reason that we fell for it was because when we took the check to the bank they told us that it was good . .. One week later they were taking back those words AND taking money out of our account to cover the check.So what did we do?

We started the website scamvictimsunited.com/ to share our story, educate others and offer support to scam victims. We have a message board where people can share their stories and post info on their scammers. We are now also connecting with people on social networking sites like Facebook through our fan page at facebook.com/pages/Scam-Victims-United/We also share new info with people through our blog at scamvictimsunited.blogspot.com/ When something comes up in our every day life that relates to scams, it is nice to have a place where we can share this.

We also post scam emails that we get so that others will be able to see them and know how to spot a scam. Also, if someone else gets the same email and searches any of the info in it (name of company, email address it came from) they will often be taken right to our blog or our message board and then they will know that it is a scam before it is too late for them. All of this may not get our money back, but in the first two years of our site being in operation we helped to stop over 2 million dollars from going into these scams, and that does make you feel a little better.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
