This prophecy from Jesus did have a fulfillment earlier along about 70CE with the destruction of Jerusalem and the total slaughter of all Jews that did not obey this prophecy exactly for safety. All these things occurred before and after that time as well. The point was never all together and so strongly.
As soon as they saw "the disgusting thing" of Roman soldiers in the Temple Courtyard, only those obeying Jesus got to safety in the mountains. Every other Jew was slaughtered in and around Jerusalem. Bible prophecies have two fulfillment's.
This one in 70CE and a latter day one today. At no time in history have so many of the things mentioned occurred together and in such quantities and so powerfully. Every hundred years or so, one earthquake might reach a level 9 or slightly more.
Just recently, we have had several all over the globe. The same is true concerning every other feature of the prophecy. Just as predicted back then, they also say, "3 For YOU know this first, that in the last days there will come ridiculers with their ridicule, proceeding according to their own desires 4 and saying: “Where is this promised presence of his?
Why, from the day our forefathers fell asleep in death, all things are continuing exactly as from creation’s beginning.” (2 Peter 3:3-4) Peter continues in the next verses to describe the same attitude just before the Flood. Which came to kill all of them. It is said by others in history, "Those who refuse to learn from the mistakes in history are doomed to repeat them."
That is true today as it was in fact, yesterday.
Not all the signs have hit centuries ago. Several of the signs have not even begun, and one only happened for the very FIRST time in 1948. The return of the land of Israel to the Jewish people.
Since the death of Christ, this happened once and once only, and it was at the end of world war 2, When we freed the Jewish people from the Nazi concentration/death camps. Another important sign that hasn't happened yet describes what ca only be seen as a WORLD WIDE economic collapse.... We are on our way to this now. However a religion that preaches that Jesus is a god Separate to God himself...and is not also the son of man.
Believe as you will... however I fear for your soul. The Bible is very clear of that. And the 12 tribes of Judah that will be saved with a portion of 12,000 each... equaling 144,000..;.
Those are actually the direct descendants of the 12 jewish tribes. Not gentiles that are known as Jehovah's witnesses. There will also be a rapture that saves the righteous from the tribulations.
When there is only a single translation that differs from hundreds of others.... I tend to shy away from it. Especially when it contradicts what every other translation has come to an agreement on. When a translation of the Holy Bible's scripture is altered to fit a view but doesn't match even the translations of the original text by today's spiritual Jews and Greeks... I fear for those following an altered teaching.
I believe that many are truly seeking God... but their perception is sadly misguided and so they are unable to witness and shepherd correctly. Which sadly may lead to falling short of His Salvation.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
