I've always been attracted to the number 10 (hence my pseudonym). It's simple, logical and powerful. It's easily derived from human life--ten fingers and ten toes.It is the basis of logarithms.
We measure time in decades, and 10 decades is a century. From ten we derive 100, 1000, 10,000, etc--all simple tools to understand quantities of various sizes. We even have 10 Commandments and 10 amendments to the Bill of Rights.
3 is a very convenient number for describing processes with steps--steps 1, 2 and 3. The beginning, the middle and the end. The past, the present and the future.
Elliott Wave Theory indicates that financial markets often move in 5 waves: Up, down, up, down and up. Each of the 3 up-waves move the price to a new high, and down-waves allow the market to correct. This 5-wave tendency may point to some deeper inherent tendency in large-scale human interaction or crowd behavior.
Even numbers like 2 or 10 are of course good if symmetry is what I'm looking for.
3 is a good number. You structure a story or any writing with a beginning, middle, and end. Add more than that and it's too complex, take away something from that and it's incomplete.
When I have a problem I try to think of 3 possible options because that makes it seem like you have enough options (you aren't stuck with just one or two things to do), but don't have to narrow it down because you have too many. Most of my anime reviews review 3 anime and the reason is that I can watch 5 episodes from 3 anime shows, or 15 episodes total, per week. In physical exercise such as pilates, yoga, and martial arts, I like it when I have right, left, and center movements, that's the way the body is lined up.3 seems to be a harmonious number.
I have a feeling this question has a hidden agenda, it is trying to see into my 'secret self' and analyze me......
7 is God's perfect number, so I will go with odd.
Yeah I preferred it in my life many times, and 7 is usually help me out in my problems which I was facing at that time but I must say that using it in life is a great experience.
As a Muslim ... its not a matter of Preferences ... its my Obligation, to Believe, in the Odd numbers ... as the means to a correct Understanding.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
