Sanders doesn't represent the mainstream values of the Democratic Party. The leaders of the party are not about to let some interloper waltz away with their nomination. Same problem Trump has on the other side.
His values really only represent the old Pre-Reagan Democratic Party but today I think they're seen as radical by a good percentage of Democrats. Like Trump, Sanders is a favorite of disgruntled voters, people dissatisfied with their party. His objective is not to win but to have an effect, to pull Hillary to the left, back towards traditional Democratic views.
Even we real liberals who like Sanders' message realize that as president he'd face serious obstacles. Look at the way Republicans treat Obama--not like a legitimately-elected president but more like some evil foreign conqueror. They see their patriotic job as being to block everything he does, to sabotage the govt.
Itself, to destroy Obama politically, even if it does harm to the country. If Sanders was president, BOTH parties would be treating him this way! Hillary has at least proven herself able to deal with Republican sabotage of our govt.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
