Do you think Mahalo Answers should allow completely anonymous members to become purple, brown, or black belts?

I think these people HAVE disclosed something about themselves... what questions they've answered. But... I don't think people should be anonymous if they are upper-belts. I'm hoping that it will easier to see what people's specializations are so you can put that into context with their answer.

Anonymity is overrated on the Web. While I don't necessary want people to know more about my personal life, I do think that if I'm going to make claims, offer opinions, and engage in debates, I should have a consistent identity online from which to do so.

I don't think Mahalo would allow such a thing. Mahalo is based upon helping others and if an anonymous user would become a purple, brown, or black belts it would nullify the whole system. Mahalo is about helping others and if you don't know who the face is behind the mask, you wouldn't know if the information they were giving is valid.IMO.

I think that they would appear more trust worthy when they post an answer if they had some information about themselfs. But to answer your question if someones does make an account here then they should be able to get belts make money and receive points.

I don't think that they should have to disclose any information about themselves simply because they've used this site a lot. It would be nice to know a little about the people who have been on the site since time began, but it isn't really a necessity. Also, if people are anonymous, it allows for more opinion expression, just because they feel safer in knowing that nobody knows too much about them.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
