Do you think Michael Cole vs Jerry Lawler will be worse than Bret Hart vs Vince McMahon last year?

I would say that it's very bad, tough to watch even, but I don't know if I would classify it as one of the worst ever (even though, at this point, it's pushing that boundary). The only, and I mean the ONLY, saving grace for this feud has been that it's built on solid groundwork. What I mean is that there is a good basis for it, the animosity between Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler building to a head for SO long before finally boiling over, as opposed to a lot of WWE feuds we see which just happen and end with little or no explanation.

At least Cole and King had some reasoning behind it, and it's actually felt like real rivalry. But beyond that, there's not much hope for it. The WWE has been pushing Cole SO hard lately that he's really been exposed as an average at best performer.

He's just not that charismatic when he's attempting to play a character, so in order to compensate for the he spends the bulk of the broadcast doing whatever he can to get himself noticed and get himself over, which, because he's a commentator and therefore involved in every match on the card, seeps throughout the show and drags the entire product down with him. When Cole actually sits down as a regular commentator and calls matches, he's fine. He's not Jim Ross or anything, but he's competent.

Now though, with the WWE pushing him as a "villain" announcer, he's just not talented enough to play that character and make it work. Instead, all we see every week a guy who has made it brutally obvious that he's trying to hard and an awkward, unbelievable persona. Then there's the in-ring work, which has been beyond dreadful.

That's the worst part of it. At least when Cole is talking, I can pretend to use that as a launching pad for wanting to see him get beat up, but when the matches actually happen, it's fast-forward time. At this stage in his career, The King is average at best in the ring.

He needs a good worker to carry him to a good match, like The Miz was able to do. Michael Cole certainly doesn't qualify. Instead, all we see is Jack Swagger beating up King for ten minutes (and that's another thing: Why does King keep making these matches no disqualification?) while Cole screeches "How's that feel Jerry!?" over and over an over again.

It's terrible. I guess the big thing is that I never expected this feud to be good. When a wrestler is involved in a rivalry, I'm at least expecting it to be passable, depending on who it is.

I've never had any real expectations for King and Cole, so I'm not let down or disappointed. But still.......it's not good.

Yes mostly because it took away from the buildup of the other matches leading into Wrestlemania in particular the HHH and Undertaker. Lawler vs. Cole was the biggest waste of air space of all time. Watching people wrestle pillows was more entertaining than their match at Wrestlemania and to think that they still go on with this feud is one of the many reasons I can't watch anything with WWE right now.

WWE is basically a 3 month entertainment company when done right. The rest of the 9 months they can go shove it up their ***.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
