You're excused. The vast bulk of pit bull owners around me use them as 4-legged weapons and to terrorize passers by with their "scumbag status symbol" animal. I'm often not sure which should be on the leash, the owner or the dog.
As soon as it gets warm, these idiots crawl out from under their rocks and go walking these abused and weaponized monstrosities around town - even taking them to the kid's parks and playgrounds in the area where parents and children are just trying to have a good time. Those types of owners should just be arrested on the spot - as if they were walking around firing off rounds out of an illegal firearm. These dogs are maulings waiting to happen.
You can't pass one on the street without a growl or the owner having to fight the thing for control, and you sure as hell can't walk past their yard without it going nuts. Maybe it's the breed, maybe it isn't - but it's something and I'm not the only one to see it. Sources: live and work around the damn things .
All these dog questions... Fun! No, I don't think pit bull should be outlawed. While the breed might have a stronger tendency to be aggressive, it is the owners who allow them to become that way.
Instead of outlawing, I think pit bull owners should be required to take their dogs to obedience school. Lots of breeds can be dangerous, it is the pit bull who has gotten a bad rap because bad people make them fight.
I am fervent on this issue NO do not outlaw Pitbulls or any pet! I grew up with pitbulls, they were gracious loving friends. I then had my son at age twenty still living at home with family.
At t he same time Mandy (mommy pitbull) had pups, one of which we kept named "Baby". My son and Baby grew up together. He groped Baby and sat on him sometimes would twist his ears!
As they grew never once did Baby show any animosity towards our son, in fact they were best friends. It is how the dog is raised that determines his demeanor! We never had a fenced yard and the dogs always stayed in the yard- they were very protective and would defend us till death.
We knew this and would make sure if a stranger came to the house the dogs were watched. Again, never did our Pitbulls hurt a soul! It angers me that Folks purposely get Pitbulls because they know they can turn them into...well, Fighting Cocks!
If they outlaw Pitbulls. Then someday they could outlaw Pincers. We live in a free country.
We already have too many regulations! .
No, stupid dog owners should be outlawed. Dogs are not inherently mean. They just want to please the alpha leader of the pack, which for most modern dogs is the human dog owner.
If the owner teaches the dog to be mean, then he should be the one who is punished. Any owner who encourages a dog's aggressive traits is only setting his dog up to be killed sooner or later. With that said, it is true that some breeds of dog are more aggressive than others.
If you own one of those breeds you must, as a responsible pet owner, learn how to channel your dog's nature into acceptable forms of behavior. One of our dogs is what we call a "Yellow Pit-Lab. " He is a bit longer and leaner that the typical pit bull, but has the pit bull head, jaws, muscles and attitude.
We have worked very hard with him to make him a respectable canine citizen. He still slips every now and then, but he's only 2 years old and is still learning. So, no, I don't think pit-bulls should be outlawed.
They are wonderful, smart, strong and loving dogs, very loyal to their humans. But I do think that anyone who wants a pit bull should pass an interview examination so that those with the wrong motives can be steered towards teacup chihuahuas or something else more suitable to be left untrained. Sources: My Opinion .
Heck ya! Its like psyco people you fricken lock em up and throw away the key. I don't want those freaks around me and I sure don't want them around my kids, the same rule for the the psyco dogs, get rid of them, they are emotionally handicap.
Why would any one want a agressive animal anyways. I live in dade county and it aganist LA ley! Thank god cause I sure don't want my neighbor havin one.
