It's hard to say how far they would have gone without Bruce. Assuming they still had their principal songwriting team of Harris , Smith and Murray intact I bet they would have had a great run in the 80s for sure. Maybe they would have been like Saxon who continue to put out solid material throughout their entire career but get very little recognition.
Mq2: I, like most people, definatly think the classic era was the best. I think their second best era though is the post 200, when Bruce and Adrian returned. Mq3: It wasn't just Blaze that brought Maiden down during that era.
I think the songs on those two albums just weren't up to par. I disagree with you that Virtual XI is better than 'No Prayer...' and 'Fear of the Dark'. Mq4: I'm not so sure that 'Fear' does get a lot of praise.
It definatly isn't their best but there are a few gems on that one. Bq: Depressing because I have to work tomorrow. Bq2: Black Label Society' - Counterfeit God.
MQ1: That's an interesting question. I honestly can't say how they'd be without Bruce but I can tell you I highly doubt they'd be as great as they are without Mr. Dickinson. I'm glad it turned out the way it did.
;) MQ2: Classic Era but the modern era is good too. MQ3: Well, I didn't really like them myself. They weren't horrible but they definitely weren't Maiden's better records.
The only Blaze Maiden song I can say I love as much as their classics is "Man on the Edge". MQ4: Well, everyone has their own opinions but I happen to agree with your for the most part. Fear of the Dark was rather dull.
BQ1: It's going okay I suppose. BQ2: Nothing at the moment.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
