Alive and well. MA: That video is definitely badass. I do feel like the song suffers a bit from "late era Maiden slow song" issues, for me personally, though.
An issue it seems like they've grappled with ever since they produced a great many excellent slower songs on Brave New World; some of the later ones tend to feel like they're reaching for that and not quite grasping it, to me. Not a bad song, but I've heard them do better. MA2: Songwise, I definitely prefer "El Dorado" here.
Much more dynamic and it feels darker, in a way that takes me back to some of the stuff on Piece of Mind and Powerslave, even. MA3: Lucky b@stard. Last time they came to Atlanta, Blaze was their frontman.
I had to go to PIttsburgh to see them on the 2002 (?) tour... side note: Is it just me or is this by far their coolest cover art since at least Fear of the Dark?
I saw this video for the first time the other day and I actually really loved the video. I feel like they went into a dangerous area with this video because it could have been really cheesy with that concept but they did it perfectly and it ended up being really epic. MQ2: I actually liked "El Dorado" a lot more.
Don't get me wrong, "Final Frontier" was a good song and for any other band it would probably be amazing but for Iron Maiden I think it was kind of sub par. MQ3: Ummm screw you =P.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
