Do you think tv soap operas are going to be non existent soon?

Soap operas are as old as soaps and will continue as long as soaps exist. My theory: soap burns eyes and brings tears. As long as women can shed tears, soap operas too will exist!

One can only hope and prey for the day! :).

If we're all lucky they will be. I'm not sure about the more and more senseless bit, by saying that you are implying that there has been a time when they weren't as senseless as now.

They have been around since 1954 I believe, and as long as tv exists or some kind of video they will be.

I think they will be around for a long time. I think for some people a soap opera is the reality of their life. Take a good look at what is really going on in the shows.(drama, issues, backstabbing, lies, cheating, marriage, divorce, bad times and of course good times, with all of the people, there are alot of memories).

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
