Nope. I took world geography before I took any other geography course. For me, it didn’t matter. In fact, I think it might be better to take world first, because world geography is a general overview of the entire world, rather than an in-depth look at one country.
I think it makes more sense to learn all the countries in Europe passingly, as well as important geographical features, before you devote an entire semester to learning about one specific European country’s geography. I think it really helps to understand the details of a nation by knowing a little about all of the surrounding nations. I mean, American geography is definitely influenced by its interactions with other countries.
We wouldn’t be able to understand the impact and issue with illegal immigration without also understanding a bit about Mexico. Likewise, we might not understand Japan’s historic isolation without first understanding Asian geography. And that goes for pretty much every country in the world.
Either way, I don’t think taking one course before you take the other will hurt you in any way.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
