Yes, putting it under your power will just make you have a healthy looking glow, and it won't be so bright. It will look more natural. But don't put it under your foundation, because it could make your foundation texture change and make it gritty or grimey on your cheeks, and you definitely don't want that.
If you applied blush first before applying foundation or powder, it would not show up at all. What I recommend is applying your foundation and powder first, and using a VERY light hand with your blush. If it still turns up too bright, use a clean brush to blend it out, or even apply avery sheer coat of powder on top, this should blend the blush making it seem more natural.
I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
