Do your adult children STILL expect an Easter basket? Do they still like to dye eggs?

My daughters are 28 and 26, and still want an Easter basket every year! When my oldest daughter got married I didn't think she'd expect a basket, but when she came for dinner she was VERY dissapointed, so I keep making her a basket every year! Same for my other daughter, who lives in another state.

I don't mind at all, it's easy enough to do, but I do think it's a little bit nuts. I stopped getting Easter Baskets around l3. How about your adult kids?

Believe it or not, we still dye eggs. The excuse is that we do it with my grandson, but we all still love to do it! And we all love deviled eggs, and egg salad, so we usually make at least 2 dozen!

Not an Easter Basket... but, they do want to Easter Egg Hunt! We will be having the family that live here come on Easter. We asked the G-kids if they wanted to dye eggs."NO, but we do want to hunt for the eggs!

Then we will have a special hunt for the adult children and friends. We let the G-kids "hide" the eggs. I think they look forward to that as much as the kids do!

I still dye the eggs, but I don't cook them first. I dye them raw. They look so pretty in the egg basket in the fridge!

When I cook them I ask "what color do you want this morning?" I even buy the dye after Easter and save for special days when the "out-of-town" G-kids come over. They get the biggest kick out of G'ma's colored eggs!

I think it is good to keep up these traditions. You could invite some kids to come over to help with your adult kids.

Ineresting Interesting Question, Of course one might ask how old of an AC are we talking about. Then one might ask if we shouldn't have cut it off when they where in there teens or pre-teens. It should be a galic time yes, but a child youthful time.

If we ask them to expect it as they age it is our fault as much as theirs. Not to mention the medias. We also need to remind them it was a Galic sexual holiday.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
