I think it's a product of my watching too many horror movies when I was younger! Asked by Rickisgirl 52 months ago Similar questions: freaked shower home Lifestyle > Relationships.
I don't because I have a watch cat... About 4 years ago, I slipped in the bathroom after my shower, and in an effort to avoid hitting the sink (I knew I couldn't prevent the fall) I pitched myself through the door to the bedroom floor. So, as I'm lying there silently berating myself for being a clutz, the heads of my three cats peered off the end of my bed. They had very concerned looks on their faces. So, ever since that day, I am not allowed to shower by myself.
One of the cats is always stationed near the bathroom door. I don't know what they think they are going to do if I have a problem, but apparently they plan to be there just in case.So if I start to get a creepy feeling, I just have to check to see what the cat is doing. If the cat is relaxed, I have no reason to freak out.
=) .
Psycho the movie That’s what did it for me. I always feel as if someone is going to sneak up on me.
No, but... I was sitting on the 'can' once (it's next to the shower) when the police picked the lock on my back door, broke through the chain lock on my bathroom door, and pushed their way inside. Some unidentified caller sent them after me. No rite, no warrent, no just cause, no crime in progress or anything.
Fortunately, I went to school with one them (he'd remained outside) and when we all went to the court house the one Judge who has not sold out was there...I went to school with him also. (Law inforcment is that way around here). I didn't 'feel freaked' at all until they took the tissue away from me and placed it on the other side of the room, and then stood there saying 'let's go'.
I see your point though. But I want you to know I watch all those monster movies and sciencefiction movies from the past--they are better than the new ones. Occasionally, I watch the new ones....and grew up watching the older ones.My opinion is, it's something else than childhood memories.
If you had a dream about Godzilla chasing you, sure, it's from the movie I live alone, but, unlike you, I am 54, a veteran, decorated, and a guy, and I do keep my ears open for that 'lockpick' scratching noise even today. Is it possible your bathroom is painted such a color as to incite a certain feeling of 'uneasyness'? It is possible even the furniture you have in there could cause it.
The mind, (and I'm not kidding here) is a huge place and a lot of it is a vast empty looking darkness. I think it's nothing. I think it's several little things so small as not to merit attention that are stacked up in such a way you notice them.
BYE! Sources: some experience .
I have never had that problem at all until now. Gee thanks! I’ll be waiting for Norman Bates to come and get me from now on.
Even though I was always and still am a great fan of horror movies showering has never bothered me while alone in the house but I have a feeling that is going to change. Did you ever see that movie “Arnold” with Elsa Lanchester where the woman gets scalded in the shower? Thankfully I have a big enough shower that I could get away from the hot water if I needed to.

1 Not me. I'd give my right arm to be able to take a shower while home alone. Imagine, no little faces glued to the shower door saying, "Mommy, are you almost clean?" .

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
