Yes. Truth is not relative. It is absolute and God defines truth.
The fallacy is in this statement: *** Which is equivalent to say : "All truth is relative" *** This is NOT equivalent to the initial statement. The initial statement indicates that truth - not every individual truth, but truth in general - is relative to the speaker of truth. For example, when I say, "Coffee tastes horrible - all coffee, without exception" - that is the truth.
I am being completely honest. Even coffee in ice cream (who does such horrible things to perfectly good ice cream?) tastes terrible....**to me**. My statement is true - but if YOU were to make the SAME statement, it would probably be a lie (most people like the taste of coffee - I can't imagine why).
SO: truth **in general** is subjective. Everything that is true for me is NOT true for you. This does NOT mean that ALL truth is subjective.
The Earth is spheroid in shape, regardless of whether or not anyone believes otherwise. That truth is an *objective* truth. However, truth in general - that is, the entire spectrum of truth - is not only objective.
There is much of truth that is objective, but there is also much of truth that is subjective. Therefore - *because* some of "truth" is subjective - it is a fact that "Truth is relative to the person perceiving it". Jim, http://www.BibleChooser.com.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
