Does anyone have an idea about a good tool/book for learning how to use Adobe Creative Suite 2 (not CS3)?

I have seen the book "Adobe Creative Suite 2 Classroom in a Book" on Amazon, but the reviews aren't that great. Any ideas? Asked by CallaBeauty 46 months ago Similar questions: idea tool book learning Adobe Creative Suite CS3 Computers > Software Development.

It depends. I would suggest getting program specific books, like 1 for Photoshop, one for go live, etc. They will have a lot more detail and be more useful in general than one book that just does a brief overview of the entire suite. Also I am sure there is 1 or 2 programs you will be using a lot more, and those shoudl be the ones you concentrate on.

Hope this helps. Deke McClelland's books Adobe Photoshop On-on-One is a good book for learning how to use Photoshop. The book is written by Deke McClelland who is one of the Adobe 9 (I think) that know Adobe products inside out. The videos are a must for these type of lessons and Deke gives a good video tutorial.

You can really learn a lot from this book and CD combo even if you are already familiar with Photoshop. Hope that helps, and good luck. -On a side note some photographers found Deke’s book to be more of a graphics design book rather than a photography book.

One of the reviewers recommended works by Scott Kelby, Bruce Fraser, and David Blatner. I cannot say anything about those books since I have not used them, but they do have great ratings. - vacuuum's Recommendations Adobe Photoshop CS2 One-on-One (One-On-One) Amazon List Price: $39.95 Used from: $11.49 Average Customer Rating: 4.5 out of 5 (based on 96 reviews) The Digital Photography Book, Volume 2 Amazon List Price: $24.99 Used from: $15.22 Average Customer Rating: 5.0 out of 5 (based on 13 reviews) Real World Image Sharpening with Adobe Photoshop CS2 (Real World) Amazon List Price: $39.99 Used from: $23.59 Average Customer Rating: 4.5 out of 5 (based on 17 reviews) Real World Adobe Photoshop CS2 (Real World) Amazon List Price: $54.99 Used from: $20.00 Average Customer Rating: 4.5 out of 5 (based on 22 reviews) .

I think the very best way to learn Adobe Creative Suite is through Total Training's online series. I use Adobe products extensively -- the design suite, the web suite, and the video production suite -- and I have yet to find anything to compare with the Total Training series for a fun, engaging approach to learning the software. They cover every product in detail, and break it down into Essentials and Advanced, as well as a series of special techniques videos.

Until recently, the training was sold in rather expensive DVD's, but the company just recently released an online version that is very, very, good and QUITE reasonably priced. In fact, access to ALL the CS training materials costs $199, for training that in DVD form (for all the DVD's) would cost over $3000. I find it extremely well organized by topic, so it's easy not only to progress through the software learning feature by feature, but it's also easy to find specific problems you want to solve and "get a quick lesson".

There's great downloadable supplemental material, too. You can download every image and file the instructor works with so you can follow along. I highly recommend the Total Training online series, and you can find it at http://www.totaltraining.com/online/howitworks.asp .

CBTPlanet. Com has some good CS2 training. Depending on what aspect of CS2 you were looking for help with, you might consider looking at what CBTPlanet.Com has to offer on their training.

This is only one of the many companies that produced some good CBT's (Computer Based Training) for the Adobe Suite. CBTPlanet's Search on Adobe products: http://search.store.yahoo.com/cgi-bin/nsearch?catalog=yhst-19374162621823&query=adobe&.autodone=http%3A%2F%2Fstore.cbtplanet.com%2Fnsearch.html Also you might look at http://www.lynda.com/ I've never used any of their Adobe training products, but their other CBT's were always really good. I just noticed on their website that they claim to be the "World's Largest Adobe Training Supplier", so if even half true, that might be a good resource.

Good luck and I hope that helps! .

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
