How does adobe creative suite upgrades work? Do they work independently from the old software? Or does it link somehow?

Its much cheaper to just upgrade - so would save me a lot of cash if possible.(I know it sounds a bit dodgy - but - with my cash flow its worth a try!) If anybody can give me some clarity on this that would be awesome. You are allowed two installs with a retail copy (As in 1 for desktop, 1 for laptop). Upgrades will have to be verified. Retail copies are allowed two installs.

Upgrades copies must be verified. If it is already installed, then your fine. Otherwise, you'd install CS4 and it'll will ask for a previous keycode from, say CS2..

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
