I'm a bit surprised, though it seems to have been coming for some time. That suspension they had a few months ago seemed pro-forma at the time, but now it looks as if they were having behind-the-scenes personality conflicts. It's possible that MSNBC is trying to straighten up and not be the Fox News of the left, but I can't imagine why.
They were never really the Fox News of the left, and it's only the fox-news-ification of America that would cause people to think so: Fox is so screamingly, maniacally far to the right that it leaves people uncertain of where the center is. MSNBC will STILL be part of the lamestream liberal media no matter how many Olbermanns they fire. And besides... they seem to be having no such conflict with Rachel Maddow, who's at least as far to the left, if not more so.So I'm thinking that, like Juan Williams at NPR, there's really a personality conflict that takes on partisan tones because everything is tinged with partisanism.
I find it rather ironic that Keith Olbermann once worked for Fox News before moving to MSNBC, which makes me wonder about his credibility to begin with. Maybe they are all just paid actors playing out their roles, depending upon which network they are on. Rhine44 11 months ago .
He worked for Fox Sports, which is different. Not all of Fox is blithering partisanship, just the news channel. (And other parts of Murdoch's empire.) TV shows on the Fox Network, like The Simpsons, often have a liberal bent.
The Mouth That Roared will not be missed. He was pathetic as a sportscaster on ESPN, equally pathetic as a news broadcaster on MSNBC. He was a disgrace to broadcast journalism.
More than 5 minutes of him was enough to last a month or two - how he ever got the job in the first place is beyond my comprehension and understanding.
I’ve wondered if, perhaps, he’s becoming to much of a controversial figure…. Bigger than the role the network wants for that spot? Too much of a Howard Stern personality.
Too independent of network direction.?There is, too, the possibility that Comcast may not want him in that role.
Telling the truth often gets people in trouble. Yes he is super liberal, but isn't that why he was hired? .
I'm a great fan of "Countdown" with Keith Olbermann. What do you think of his progam? " "Did you see the Keith Olbermann commentary on gay marriage?" "Is Keith Olbermann married?
" "What network is Keith Olbermann's Countdown now on?

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
