I'm not totally sure if the eyes are safe, but many young (and old) kids have been to Build-A-Bear. Granted, maybe one is not the time to take him, but you could look into getting one for him, and take him when he's a little older. It's best to go with someone, because the 'heart ceremony' is random for everyone and you may feel a little silly doing it.

But afterward, all you need to do is pick out an outfit. They have a lot of complex things not fit for a little kid, but they DO have plain t-shirts with a picture on it - no buttons or snaps at all. Sources: My frequeting of the Build-A-Bear stores.

Video They have many, many videos on Youtube.com with people doing funny, dumb, clever things with Build-A-Bear. Take this one, for example...

Here are the top picks for a 1 year old 1) Fisher Price Laugh And Learn Musical ChairThis colorful and friendly chair offers a multitude of possibilities for your little toddler to play with and learn. The chair is interactive, and teaches little ones the opposites, counting and a host of other skills. The attached side table comes with a lamp, a book and a clock which make sounds and talk.

I recommend this chair for children between the ages of 1 and 2 1/2.2) Mega Bloks Frank Baum's The Wonderful Wizard of OzMegabloks are even more fun with this enchanting playset, "The Wonderful Wizard Of Oz". The 15 piece toy set includes big building blocks which are easy for little hands to hold. Sounds and music add to the charm of this building toy set.

Toddlers enjoy acting out various scenes with characters like Dorothy, Scarecrow, Tin Man, Lion and the Wicked Witch.3) Leap Frog Learning DrumThis learning drum as the name suggests, is a great cause and effect toy. Your toddler bangs on the drum and the drum plays music, or recites the alphabet or numbers in response to your baby’s beats. The interactive voice encourages the child to hit the drum and the surface of the drum displays numbers or letters.

You can change the settings to ABC, 123, Interactive Song, or Follow the Beat. This is very easy to operate and a good toy to keep your toddler occupied.4) Corn Popper from Fisher PriceThis is a classic toddler toy which has been around for years! Toddlers love to push along this toy, and watch the little balls inside the clear plastic dome go pop.

This is an excellent toddler toy to develop walking skills, as well as provide good entertainment. It's a great deal for the price. Simple and sturdy wins the day!5) Fridge Phonics Magnetic Letter Set by Leap FrogThis wonderful toddler toy features a set of interactive magnets in the shape of alphabets and a magnetic letter reader, all of which attach to your fridge.

It teaches kids the letters, phonics and sings an alphabet song. It is a great way to keep your toddlers busy while at the same time teach them their ABC’s. Kids don’t feel like they are learning, but rather playing.

Educational and fun at the same time.6) Neurosmith Music BlocksThis wonderful toddler toy consists of musical blocks along with a unit and changeable cartridges. The blocks have to be inserted into the unit to play the musical piece. Toddlers will have a great time trying out the various combinations that are possible by turning the blocks around and changing the position of the blocks to get variations of the music.7) Spin MasterToys Aquadoodle Go 'N' DoodleThe travel version of the very popular Aquadoodle is convenient and handy.

Perfect for car trips, trips to a friend's house or even at home, the travel sized Aquadoodle offers lots of possibilities for young artists. A wonderful toddler toy.8) 123 BoxThe 123 Box from Discovery Toys is a series of books which introduce numbers, counting and equations to babies, toddlers and older kids. Lots of different activities are possible with these books, including number recognition, counting and more.

As the toddler grows older, more possibilities emerge.9) Braincandy: My Five SensesThis wonderful DVD for toddlers features lots of playful puppets with names like Ivy Eyes, Harry Hand, Nusi Nose, Mojo Mouth and Ana Ear! Each puppet represents one of the 5 senses - sight, touch, smell, taste and sound. This video is very educational and refreshingly different.

Your toddler will love to dance to the catchy background music and interact with the puppets.10) AutomobloxThese unique wooden cars with a twist are certainly in a class of their own. The cars come with interchangeable wheels and body parts, and they offer endless possibilities for toddlers and their parents both to play with and build with. I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
