Well, your first point isn't a suggestion: It's a fact. Israel does have equal rights for Arabs and Jews, so the only thing you can suggest is that people recognize it. Many Arabs do far better in Israel than they'd ever hope to in most of the Arab world.
The problem for many is that the second point is also something to note. Israel isn't perfect, hence relations between Jews and Arabs exist. There is a tension, but a lot is done within Israel to address that.
Really, people need to hold Israel to standards of other societies, since other nations are not nearly as held to the same idealized and impossible to reach standards. Israel isn't perfect but no one is, so I do wish people stopped thinking they can treat it as it should or could be. The UN didn't place Israel there.
At best, the held a vote in order to determine whether or not they'd support the BRITISH putting it there, as it was land under their control. The UN voted to do so, and the British did cede it to the Israelis. Its location has nothing to do with the UN, the existence of the Holocaust, or any other factor other than the fact that it's the Jewish homeland.
As for your last sentence: There are unfortunately a lot of people who you can legitimately say that sentence to. I try not to antagonize people; though, if someone who frequents that site does bother me I do tend to tell stormfags (as they're called) worse things.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
