Costs vary widely depending on how much site prep there has to be done, whether you want a basement, the availability of local labor, whether you go with good experienced union labor or guys picked up along the road, whether you use oatmeal board cabinets or hardwood, whether you lay down nylon or wool carpet or vinyl or marble tile, do you use 2x4 exterior walls or thicker to pack in more insulation, do you sink drain tile or hope for the best, do you let them clear-cut the land or do they have to work around a passel of existing trees, do you need to apply for variances, do you design around materials that are plentiful or on sale or do you specify oddball stuff that has a 9-month lead time and/or has to be custom quarried in Lower Slobbovia, etc, etc, etc.... Cost could go from $30 to $300 a square foot.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
