Does anyone know how to apply a downloaded theme to a wordpress blog?

If you are hosting on wordpress. Com, I think you are stuck with whatever themes they preset. If you are hosting on your own domain, its actually pretty easy... Using your favorite FTP program (I like filezilla.com or even netdrive.com ) upload the (unzipped) theme folder to wp-content / themes folder.

Unzip the zip file and upload the folder your theme came in. If you haven't added any themes before this folder (wp-content/themes) will have two in it: Default and Classic.. a couple of notes here: do not upload the . Zip file.

WP can't do anything with it. DO NOT delete the default. This one is there in case you break or lose a theme, it will 'default' back to thsi one.. Leave it- just in case.. After you've uploaded the folder... Login to your WP control panel and on the left hand side you'll see Appearance > THEMES .

Click on that and it will show you all the different themes you currently have available in the folder. Click on one to preview, then click Activate (upper right corner) to activate and use that theme.. In case you get stuck, here's more info: http://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Themes.

The theme usually comes in compressed format (i.e. Zip files). You need to extract the theme to your local hard drive.

Then, you need to upload the theme to your website using FTP to the folder: wp-content/themes/theme-name. Theme-name folder is where you put files extracted earlier. For further information, please consult the WordPress documentation: codex.wordpress.org/Using_Themes#Adding_....

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
